Eid-Ul-Adha


Eid-Ul-Adha is one of the special festivals of Muslim. Eid-Ul-Adha is also known as Bakr-Eid and festival of sacrifice. On this festival Muslims sacrifice their domestic animals like goat (Bakra), sheep, cow, camel etc. This sacrifice made by Muslims is a symbol of sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim. Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj. The first day of Eid-Ul-Adha is celebrated on the 10th of Dhil-Hijja that is the last month of the Islamic year. In some areas, Eid-Ul-Adha is celebrated in the memory of Prophet Ibrahim an Ismail.
Hajj is the important 5th pillar of Islam. It is currently the largest annual pilgrimage in the world. The pilgrimage occurs from the 7th to 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. Here is the report on Hajj.
